The 25th anniversary of the moon landing in 1994 marked the beginning of the cult series SPACE NIGHT on Bavarian Television. On the occasion of the first anniversary, the team of the Planetarium München under the direction of Thomas Kraupe created the first "Space Night Planetarium Show". Ten years later, it became the first DEEP SPACE NIGHT in Hamburg, which dove much deeper into space and into the world of music. On the occasion of the now 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon mission, Planetarium Hamburg delivers a new compilation with some surprises: BEST OF DEEP SPACE NIGHT is the ultimate edition of our late night music show. Our "Playlist for Astronauts" allows a rousing ride through star and fantasy worlds - music from the Apollo era and tracks inspired by the Apollo missions. A journey through time that ranges from psychedelic space sound and classics of the 60s and 70s to today's rock pop.

Visuals are thrown on the 21-meter star dome with five 4K projectors while the sound comes from all sides via the 3D-spatial sound system with more than 60 speakers.
