Recommended for ages 6 and up

Premiere on Wednesday, July 8, 2026H2O: The Cosmic States of Water

We know Earth, our home in the cosmos, as the blue planet—full of water! But Earth is not the only place where this life-giving element exists. Join Sedna, a curious and adventurous sea otter, as she sets out to discover the secrets of water!

Sedna lives in the icy waters of the far north. She loves to dream about traveling to distant lands—especially when Toklo, a clever and mischievous cormorant, tells stories of his incredible journeys during his long migration south. He speaks of flying over rivers and lakes, crossing vast oceans, and battling wild and stormy weather.

One day, Sedna makes a decision: she will set off on her own adventure! That very night, with lots of imagination and even more curiosity, she begins an extraordinary journey to explore Earth’s water cycle. Inspired by what she learns, she convinces Toklo to take her along on his next trip.

Together, they travel even farther and discover that water isn’t found only on Earth. It exists in many places across the universe—and not always as liquid. Sometimes, it’s very well hidden! The two explore the icy deserts of the red planet Mars and discover geysers and a hidden ocean beneath the surface of Jupiter’s moon Europa. On Saturn’s moon Titan, they marvel at rocks made of ice, and on Neptune they learn about ice that can be as hot as 5,000 degrees! They also find out that comets are made of dust and ice—and that they may have brought water to Earth.

Join Sedna and Toklo on an exciting journey through the universe and uncover the secrets of water together!
