A Truly Fascinating Archaeo -Astronomical Detective Story
What knowledge did our ancestors have of the stars, and how did they envision them? What do we know about their ideas today? During this journey through time and space, we will visit our ancestors’ monuments and places of worship and get an idea of what people in prehistoric times knew about the stars. We invite you to join archaeologists and astronomers in trying to decode the famous “Nebra Skydisc”. Find out more about what we all have in common with the stars.
Knowledge about the sky in prehistoric, research on and significance of the Nebra Skydisc, daily and yearly movement of the sun, lunar orbit, zodiac scheme, precession, division of the year with moon, sun and the Pleiades, the “stellar kindergarden” of the Pleiades, stars and the origin of heavy elements.
